Batty, put your wet knickers back on and get a grip of the
reality of the situation.

Re: Potential Bilic replacements
If it all goes tits up quickly, I'd go for Bielsa. Although I'd expect the two nuggets in charge to end up with someone like McLeish.

I'd be shocked if Bilic does struggle though, I think it'll be alright once the season starts to settle and we have fit strikers.

Re: Potential Bilic replacements

Grumpster - Believe me I can see past individual errors and am fully aware that these are generally reliable players.

I'm talking about how slow we were, how much shape we lacked, how bad our distribution was - the lack of support to the front man.

And you may also find this difficult to believe - but even after the equalizer - I still thought we would lose despite the fact we should've been in the ascendancy - and that is because I don't find the team believable in what they were doing.

Just out of interest - And again, not a lover of Sam Allardyce - at what point does this team stop being a product of him and a team Slaven has stamped his mark on?

Take the replacement suggestions as tongue in cheek, but the point is real.

In actual fact I still don't think I'm out of the Allardyce era of misery yet!

I agree, he may still be and I really hope he is.

2/3 players in before the window closes and I'll feel a lot more optimistic. COYI

Re: Potential Bilic replacements
Bit OTT this, lets see where we are end of November. Still gold and Sullivan didn't sack Grant or BFS mid season so I don't see them doing it to Bilic.

Re: Potential Bilic replacements
Don't think you can blame defensive errors on organisation.

Cresswell has gone from HOTY to looking like he's never kicked a ball before, but all players suffer dips in form.

People are far too quick to blame the manager, when there's not a lot he could have done about the performances of Cresswell and Jenkinson.

Nice try but I was born in 1972 so I have built up an immunity against this type of post Euro 96, knee-jerking, rubber necking pants wetting thread

He might still be son. We've played 3 league games.

Chin up pal. It will be fine.

There's plenty of spine One Mac I'm just not impressed with what I've seen so far and I thought Bilic was the best man for the job.

I'll be delighted if come Christmas were sitting pretty in mid table.

I don't like the fact he saying we lack fight, especially after 3 league games.

Fucking hell, show some spine, Dan son?

Re: Potential Bilic replacements
I agree, it just looks to have all the hall marks of Avram Grants year in charge.

I don't think throwing the European game has helped. I hope he plays a strong side at Leicester.

Re: Potential Bilic replacements
We're all concerned Dan. We spend our lives concerned; it's what West Ham do. We could win the first 10 games and the site would still be full of people who were concerned. Start worry at Christmas (we do that every year too by the way).

Dan 4:09 Wed Aug 26
Re: Potential Bilic replacements
Agreed re the replacement part, of course it's stupid. But let's be honest aside from the arsenal game it's been farcical viewing so far.

We look unorganised and unfit. You can't blame that on allardyce and I couldn't stand the bloke.

Don't get me wrong I hope he irons the problems out but I'm definitely concerned.

Alwaysaniron 4:04 Wed Aug 26
Re: Potential Bilic replacements
It's shit Dan because the bloke has only been in charge for 3 games. He still has a squad assembled by the fucking fat walrus and is having to deal with a crisis of injured strikers. To start a thread discussing his replacement is a bit like starting a thread discussing where next after the OS. Fucking pointless!

LOCK THIS SHIT

Dan 4:01 Wed Aug 26
Re: Potential Bilic replacements
Why is it shit?

As he said he hopes bilic does well like we all do but he has reservations. I can't see what the problem is, I think we've been shambolic so far. Surely that's just stating the obvious?
